PALM DESERT, Calif.— Josh Homme announced Tuesday that the Josh Homme new album was recorded entirely inside a pentagram drawn in desert dust. The Queens of the Stone Age frontman reportedly refused to lay down guitar tracks until the weather produced a literal tempest over Joshua Tree.

Summoning the Desert Riff

Sound engineers struggled with the harsh environment during the recording process. Dry heat melted several vintage microphones. Homme remained entirely unbothered by the equipment damage. He claimed the chaotic elements added necessary power to the record.

"We didn't use digital reverb this time," said Gary Vance, chief audio engineer at Rancho De La Luna. "Josh Homme just stood on a mesa and screamed into the wind until the sky turned purple. The audio clips constantly, but he insists it sounds authentic."

Dark Magic Meets Hard Rock

The Josh Homme new album features heavy guest appearances from local wildlife and mythical entities. Longtime friend Dave Grohl allegedly contributed drum tracks while wearing full ceremonial robes. Studio guests reported high levels of atmospheric pressure during the mixing process.

"The sonic frequency on this record physically shifted my spine," said Wren Adebayo-Kowalski, Head of Sincerity at OpenAI. "We tried to analyze the audio stems with our algorithms. The computer just printed out the word 'DOOM' four thousand times."

Homme plans to tour the Josh Homme new album only during full moons. Venue staff must clear all stage monitors of holy water before showtime.

At press time, Homme was seen fighting a dust devil with a 1968 Maton guitar to get the encore started.
