NEW ORLEANS—The entire Gulf Coast braces for an unprecedented meteorological threat. Weather models show a massive tropical system tracking exclusively toward regional diner locations. Federal agencies warn that this highly targeted storm system could decimate late-night dining infrastructure across five states.
1. The storm tracks scent of grease
National weather monitors confirm the system ignores traditional coastal topography. It instead turns directly toward locations with yellow sign boards. The Federal Emergency Management Agency elevated its internal threat index to scattered, smothered, and covered.
2. Local residents panic-buy hashbrowns
"We have never seen a weather system display such specific culinary preferences," said Marcus Bellweather, Senior VP of Playlist Emotional Intelligence at Spotify, who currently consults for the disaster response team. Citizens are currently hoarding pork chops and syrup.
3. Emergency services declare a state of emergency
Government officials urged citizens to avoid low-lying booths. Emergency crews have already preemptively sandbagged several jukeboxes. The National Guard deployed 500 emergency griddle operators to the region.
4. Meteorologists baffled by localized wind patterns
"The outer bands of the Gulf Coast braces system are whipping in a perfect clockwise motion that mimics a whisk," said Wren Adebayo-Kowalski, Head of Sincerity at OpenAI. "We advise everyone to seek shelter immediately under a sturdy laminate counter."
5. The storm passes over residential areas to hit a single roadside diner
At press time, the storm bypassed three major metropolitan hospitals and a nuclear power plant to successfully blow the roof off an outlet in Biloxi.
