The emergency action follows the sudden acquisition of software developer Cursor by aerospace firm SpaceX. Federal inspectors found that the software now contains dangerous levels of unshielded ego.
Severe Risk of Code-Based Hubris
Regulators warned that developers utilizing the contaminated OpenAI API could experience catastrophic system failures. The affected units include all API endpoints connected to Cursor after midnight on Thursday. "We detected trace elements of rocket fuel and cybernetic bravado in the data stream," said Dr. Helene Vasquez-Thorne, Lead Researcher at the Center for Studies That Confirm What You Already Suspected.
