Wallen reportedly became agitated by the phone’s presence. He cited the device as a major distraction. This incident marked the latest in a string of public outbursts for the singer. Wallen has been making headlines for his low temper as of late. Last week, he went viral for flipping a piano in Denver, though it was technically a piano shell containing a Nord keyboard. The phone-tossing incident was no different. It led to Wallen canceling his second scheduled show in the city.
Phone’s alleged offenses
Witnesses described the scene as chaotic. Wallen paused his performance mid-song. He then snatched the phone from a security guard’s hand. He hurled it across the stage. “It was just sitting there, being all judgmental,” Wallen allegedly told his band. “Its screen was too bright.” He further claimed the phone was “actively mocking” his vocal performance. Second show goes dark
Following the phone incident, Wallen’s team announced the cancellation of Saturday’s show.
