OOLOGAH, Okla.— Country iconoclast Zach Bryan dropped a surprise EP today. The project features a much-anticipated Zach Bryan new song with melancholy pop icon Lana Del Rey. Titled 'Lies,' the track features Del Rey singing her verses through a vintage soup can connected by string.
A Match Made in Acoustic Sadness
The duet headlines the new EP, Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs. Fans crashed streaming servers within minutes. The signature Zach Bryan new song showcases his trademark raspy vocals paired with Del Rey's distant echo. Engineers reportedly recorded her vocals in an abandoned grain silo located three miles away.
"We wanted a raw sound," said Barnaby Quill, Senior Analyst of Unsolicited Forecasts at Goldman Sachs. "Lana recorded her lines while floating in a swamp. Zach stood in a field and yelled into a copper pot. It created unprecedented acoustic misery. Wall Street expects massive quarterly growth in crying alone in pickup trucks."
The Longest Stadium Tour in History
To support the release, Bryan announced a stadium tour scheduled for 2027. The massive run includes 140 dates across North America. Tickets went on sale instantly on TicketMaster for fans willing to plan three years in advance. Critics noted the audio mix on the new release sounds entirely unmastered by design.
"This Zach Bryan new song defines the modern doom-country genre," said Marcus Bellweather, Senior VP of Playlist Emotional Intelligence at Spotify. "Our algorithms detected a 400 percent spike in users staring blankly at ceiling fans. We added the track to our 'Depressed in a Bass Pro Shops' playlist immediately."
At press time, Bryan was spotted buried up to his neck in dirt to achieve an even dirtier vocal tone for the deluxe edition.
