FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEW HOPE, PA—Innovative rock pioneers Ween and Rhino Records proudly announce the Ween Boognish Provides box set. This massive 14-CD collection features previously unreleased audio from the legendary 1994 Chocolate and Cheese tour. However, early listeners note that the entire physical release contains nothing but high-decibel white noise and the faint sound of a lawnmower. Band management insists this is exactly what the fans demanded.
The Pure Sound of 1994
"We wanted to capture the raw energy of the era," said Dr. Helene Vasquez-Thorne, Lead Researcher at the Center for Studies That Confirm What You Already Suspected. "Our data shows that Ween fans actually prefer auditory damage to actual music. The Ween Boognish Provides box set delivers this damage in a premium cardboard slipcase." The set also includes a replica moist sticker and a jar of actual dirt from New Hope.
Label executives expressed immense pride in the Ween Boognish Provides box set. They believe the project represents a new high-water mark for archival music releases. "We did not master these discs," said Marcus Bellweather, Rhino's Senior VP of Physical Nostalgia. "We simply let the tape rot in a damp basement for thirty years. The Boognish spoke, and he said 'sssssssshhhhhh' for fourteen hours."
