NEW YORK—A new teaser trailer for Geese frontman Cameron Winter’s upcoming concert film dropped Tuesday. The footage offers fans a dramatic preview of the singer tuning an acoustic guitar for nearly two hours. Director Paul Thomas Anderson helmed the project. The film captures the musician's recent sold-out performance at the historic venue. The official Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall teaser trailer has already racked up millions of views online.

An Epic Tale of String Tension

The preview opens with a moody, 70mm shot of a microphone stand. Winter walks onstage in slow motion. He sits down on a squeaky piano bench. He turns a tuning peg three millimeters to the left. The tension in the room becomes palpable. A single dramatic brass swell builds in the background.

"We wanted the Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall teaser trailer to reflect Paul's cinematic vision," said Agnes Periwinkle, Head of Audience Sedation at Live Nation. "Paul shot over 400 hours of footage. Most of it features Cameron adjusting his strap. It is pure narrative cinema. Audiences will weep during the second act B-string calibration."

A Cinematic Masterpiece of Audio Prep

The full concert film hits IMAX theaters next month. Sound designers spent three months mixing the hum of the air conditioner. Film critics already call the picture a masterpiece of minimalist tension. Anderson reportedly refused to include any actual singing in the promotional materials.

"I watched the Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall teaser trailer six times today," said Rusty Calhoun, retired stadium acoustician and founder of Dads Against Bass. "The warm room reverberation on that G-clamp is exquisite. You usually only get sound that flat in a luxury sedan. It truly numbs the soul."

At press time, Anderson released an extended director’s cut of the trailer that consists entirely of a stagehand sipping warm water.
