PHILADELPHIA— Indie rock pioneers Clap Your Hands Say Yeah announced their upcoming 2027 reunion tour today. The band confirmed every concertgoer will receive a Clap Your Hands Say Yeah album burned directly onto a blank CD-R. Bandleader Alec Ounsworth personally recorded the audio onto 50,000 blank Memorex discs using a 2004 Gateway desktop computer.

A Return to Pure 2005 Nostalgia

The decision honors the 20th anniversary of their self-titled debut. That record famously bypassed traditional record labels. "We wanted to recapture the authentic panic of a optical drive burning at 4x speed," said Agnes Periwinkle, Head of Audience Sedation at Live Nation. "Streaming services lack the soul of a scratched disc that skips during track four. Alec burned these while watching old episodes of Lost."

Fans purchasing tickets will receive their physical copy via stamped manila envelope. Every Clap Your Hands Say Yeah album burned for the tour features hand-written title text. Ounsworth used a silver Sharpie that slowly ran out of ink by disc 400.

Technical Difficulties and Buffer Underruns

Production hit several major delays last week. Ounsworth accidentally bumped his desk during a burn cycle. The mistake ruined a spindle of eighty blank discs. "A buffer underrun ruined three days of work," reported Gordon Flense, Deputy Undersecretary for Things That Were Fine Before. "We tried to explain Spotify to Alec. He threw a USB flash drive into the Delaware River."

The 2027 tour will only take place at venues with working Sony Discman listening stations. Fans can read more about the group on the official Clap Your Hands Say Yeah reference page.

At press time, Ounsworth was frantically blowing dust out of a CD drive tray while humming the bassline to 'Satan Said Dance'.
