WASHINGTON—The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued an urgent product recall notice Tuesday for all municipal grocery stores currently operating or planned in the New York metropolitan area. The federal action halts the controversial state-run supermarket program. Regulators cited severe safety hazards. Multiple consumers suffered acute exposure to raw, unpasteurized municipal codes while browsing the produce aisle.
Severe Bureaucratic Contamination
The recall targets all physical units of the municipal grocery stores initiative. Regulators found that the stores contain hazardous levels of administrative red tape. This tape can easily entangle unsuspecting shoppers. Ingesting any products from these locations may lead to chronic civic exhaustion, sudden tax hikes, and the spontaneous urge to attend community board meetings.
