BROOKLYN, N.Y.—Grammy-nominated trippy-pop outfit Rawayana hosted a massive Rawayana Halloween party inside the Barclays Center on Thursday night. The event forced thousands of unsuspecting hipsters to dance while wearing cheap neon wigs. The concert served as a key stop on their sold-out tour.
A Spectral Spectacle in Brooklyn
Band members took the stage dressed as haunting Venezuelan folkloric figures. Special guest Cheo Pardo appeared onstage disguised as a giant block of queso blanco. Producer Yorghaki entered inside a fully functional inflatable arepa stand. The frantic energy of the Rawayana Halloween party overwhelmed local emergency services within minutes.
"We did not prepare for this level of bass or fake fur," said Dr. Helene Vasquez-Thorne, Lead Researcher at the Center for Studies That Confirm What You Already Suspected. "Our research proves that Latin ska syncopation paired with synthetic Halloween wigs creates localized anti-gravity fields. The fans had no choice but to bounce continuously for three hours straight."
Security Outnumbered by Confused Ghosts
Venue security struggled to manage the thematic chaos. Over forty attendees dressed as pirate captains tried to claim the VIP section as sovereign territory. The venue had to restrict concessions to plantain chips and glow sticks.
"The sheer volume of synth-bass destabilized the structural integrity of the venue," said Rusty Calhoun, retired stadium acoustician and founder of Dads Against Bass. "I brought my level meter to the Rawayana Halloween party. The low frequencies completely rearranged my lumbar spine. It was terribly irresponsible music production."
At press time, venue cleaners were still attempting to mop up three thousand gallons of spilled passion fruit juice from the general admission floor.
