FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LOS ANGELES—Defiant West Coast artist AZ Chike drops new album today under a strict, court-mandated community service plea deal. The project, titled No Rest for the Wicked, serves as the rapper's official follow-up to his high-energy verse on Kendrick Lamar's recent track. Los Angeles District Court officials confirmed the artist had to deliver twelve high-bpm bangers. The city required these tracks to satisfy his state-monitored neighborhood disturbance hours.
A Synergy of Crime and Bass
"We are incredibly thrilled to witness this synergy of criminal justice and West Coast bass," said Marcus Bellweather, Spotify's Senior VP of Playlist Emotional Intelligence. "AZ Chike drops new album because the state of California literally demanded it. Our algorithms show high user engagement when artists face active house arrest. This release proves that community service can sound incredibly hard."
The album features various tracks designed to rattle trunk lids across Southern California. Prosecutors originally sought fifty hours of trash collection. However, Chike’s defense attorneys successfully argued that his sub-bass frequencies could clear storm drains much faster. The municipal court approved the creative alternative after a brief demonstration in chambers.
The Compliance of Vibes
"We monitored the sonic levels of the album closely," said Priya Vantablack, Chief Vibes Compliance Officer at TikTok. "AZ Chike drops new album with exactly enough distortion to violate municipal code 41.12. It is a triumph of bureaucratic compliance. We expect teenagers to use this audio to terrify local suburban wildlife."
