MOSCOW—The Ukrainian military launched a massive aerial offensive Tuesday night, sending over 1,000 drones into Russian territory to drop highly laminated, passive-aggressive notes on major cities.
The barrage represents the largest deployment of drone-based sarcasm in modern warfare. Air defense systems scrambled to intercept the incoming quadcopters. However, the sheer volume of paper overwhelmed local municipal sweepers.
A Torrent of Laminated Snark
"We did not expect this level of petty," said Dmitry Kurochkin, Chief Specialist of Post-It Logistics at the Russian Ministry of Defense. Kurochkin confirmed that several drones successfully penetrated Moscow airspace. They released thousands of small cards bearing messages like "Per my last email, this is a sovereign nation" and "Could have been a meeting."
Military analysts at NPR confirmed that the tactics have shifted from physical destruction to psychological irritation. The offensive targeted both the Kremlin and high-end residential suburbs, leaving streets littered with neatly typed, bilingual complaints about parking etiquette and noise levels.
The Economic Cost of Annoyance
