CUPERTINO, CA— Tech giant Apple Inc. launched its highly anticipated M6 Mac mini today. The company shocked consumers by suggesting they use the tiny computer to replace their actual homes. Company executives claimed the miniature desktop holds enough processing power to simulate a three-bedroom apartment. They urged loyal customers to sell their real estate and move into the device immediately.
A Smaller Footprint
The new device starts at $879.99 on Amazon. Apple executives highlighted the extreme space-saving benefits during their keynote presentation. They argued that physical shelter has become an obsolete relic of the pre-digital era. The M6 Mac mini fits easily into a backpack. This allows users to carry their entire domestic existence on a single bus ride.
"We wanted to solve the housing crisis," said Marcus Vance, Senior Vice President of Digital Displacement at Apple. "Why pay rent when you can live inside a high-efficiency aluminum enclosure? The M6 Mac mini offers unparalleled performance per square inch. You do not need a kitchen when you have sixteen gigabytes of unified memory."
The Digital Neighborhood
The tech sector remains highly competitive. Industry rivals continue to push the boundaries of virtual architecture. Microsoft recently tried to sell office cubicles made entirely of cloud data. However, Apple believes its physical hardware offers a superior living experience. The company plans to sell optional silicone sleeping bags that attach directly to the computer's exhaust vent.
"The warmth from the processor is incredibly cozy," said Rusty Calhoun, retired stadium acoustician and founder of Dads Against Bass. Calhoun tested the unit in his garage. "It hums at a perfect sixty hertz. That is the exact frequency of a father's disappointment. It really makes the metal box feel like a home."
At press time, Apple engineers were troubleshooting a major bug that accidentally evicts users if they decline the new iCloud terms of service.
