TEL AVIV— The Israeli Ministry of Trade and Security issued a nationwide recall of its active prisoner exchange program early Wednesday morning. Officials discovered a critical calibration error in the program's geopolitical value calculator. The defect became apparent during the transfer of five Lebanese civilians. Regulators warned that the trade value ratio fluctuated dangerously during transit.
Severe Valuation Hazards Detected
According to the product recall notice, the system failed to maintain a stable exchange rate. The hazard involves exchanging living civilians for the remains of historical figures. Regulators fear this imbalance could destabilize regional trade markets. "We observed a complete collapse in the exchange architecture," said Dr. Thaddeus Mbeki-Ransome, Chair of Applied Hype Studies at the Institute for Advanced Study. He noted that the exchange rate of five to one lacked proper mathematical backing. "You cannot trade active biological units for historical capital without causing severe market inflation," he added.
The affected units include all prisoner exchange programs initiated along the northern border. Consumers should stop using the current exchange system immediately. The Ministry urged border agents to return all released personnel to their original packaging. The government has suspended further transactions pending a software update.
Remedy and Replacement Protocols
To remedy the defect, authorities plan to introduce a new standardized currency. The proposed system will peg human lives directly to gold bullion or tech stocks. This standardizes all future geopolitical negotiations. "We require a predictable exchange rate," said Rusty Calhoun, retired stadium acoustician and regional supply chain auditor. Calhoun warned that unregulated trading could lead to massive cultural deficits. "If we do not fix this calibration error, we risk devaluing the concept of diplomacy itself," Calhoun stated.
At press time, the Ministry of Trade requested that all citizens check the serial numbers on their local peace treaties to ensure they have not been recalled.
